Day 1 as Singapore tourist (Duck tour)

I took a couple of days leave during end Dec to spend some quality time with family. Decided to use this week to explore Singapore as hubs made a comment juz recently tt he feels out of place in Singapore. There are so many places that he had not been to, worse than tourist. So here we are, first stop at Suntec to take the duck tour. With effect frm Jan 2013, the vehicle will just stay on land and will not go in the water again.   Decided to take the ride before that happens.  Children were excited.  And there is a good discount for  Singapore citizens. Good and enjoyable family activity.

Ray has a girlfriend

Ray has all along been a very sociable boy, he will always greet people he does not know, saying hellos and goodbyes. Recently, he has been telling us about Haley. His exact words was "Haley 是我的girl". Turns out to be a cute little girl in his class. We had a chance to find out during Seeds' Family Day that the feeling is mutual. The little girl has been talking about her boyfriend Arayfas to her parents too!!  See how pretty Haley is!! ^^

Ray is such a big boy now!

Ray is growing up without me noticing. I will bring him downstairs to buy bread every now and then, he will hold my hand and cross the zebra crossing and will help me hold the bread all the way back home. He is showing signs of wanting to feed himself, he is able to articulate better about what he wants with a very earnest nod of his head accompanied by a very cute expression on his face, his vocab library is expanding, and he knows how to show his care and concern for his sister. He will want to kiss and sayang his sister every day, hold her in his arms. Think he is going to be a great brother.

童言无忌

Just recently, 外公brought Ray out for a walk. Ray has amazing stamina for walking and running. He went out with 外公 for a record time of 5 hours before! I'm truly amazed at my Dad's stamina. Anyway, this fateful day, my son spotted a dumped car at the void deck. According to my Dad's testimony, he wanted to play with it and bring it home. The car was old and tattered and dirty, so of course, my Dad said no. My son being a huge fan of all cars, decided to ignore my Dad and even attempted to tug it himself. My Dad in desperation kicked it away from my son's reach. This started my son crying. According to my Dad, he has never seen Ray cried like this before. Ray is generally a very well behaved and mild boy, and he is not the kind to throw tantrums. He is probably cranky as he was tired. So my Dad had a hard time pacifying him. My helper told me later that day that she has never seen Ray so dirty before. He smells bad and his clothes were all dirty and his face was dirty as well. Faintz! Can imagine how hard he was trying to lug the car back home. According to my SIs's testimony, my son said 外公坏while crying and when my Dad related the whole incident to her, he seems to be sad and even had tears in his eyes when he mentioned those 3 words. I have never heard my son say that to me before, in the ears of my Dad who dotes on Ray, it is probably very hurting, but I seriously don't think my son even knows the meaning of what he just said...the words coming out from toddler can make you 又好气又好笑...:p
