Family photo shoot on 30 Nov 10

Decided to go ahead with a studio shoot of my pregnant state since I probably won't be getting pregnant again. Also wanted to capture the current moments of Ray at this cute toddler stage. With the recommendation of Jess, we went to the Studio Loft at Chinatown. The prices are really reasonable, and the photos turned out quite good, however, the photographer is not really patient with children, cannot imagine she is actually the mother of 2 boys. :S

Photo shoot with a toddler in tow is really not easy. Luckily I brought my Mum there. It is so difficult to get a 18mth old to sit still, let alone get him to smile at the camera. He was like running around and exploring all the props. The photographer got him to sit on this stool for his first shot, and because he cannot sit still, he attempted to climb down and he fell from that stool. What a way to start the shoot, so for his first few shots, you can actually spot redness on his head. JQ had to throw him into the air and while he is still smiling away, quickly hold him to pose, so you can imagine how physically tiring it can be for the Dad after a shoot. I had to sing and coo to get his attention on the camera as well.

The whole shoot took about 2 hours, and we were all bushed after that. But looking at the photos, I think it's really worth it. Will aim for another photo shoot when Mei Mei is 18 mths old. :)

My new helper in the house

My good boy has been very helpful around the house recently. When he sees me using the magic mop, he will come and help me. When my hubby is using the delpin vacumm, he will also go help...:) Let's hope this enthusiasm keeps up all the way till he's grown up...:)

Dozing off at lunch again...

Was on leave these few days as my mum had to take care of renovation matters. So I had 2 days of quality time with kai kai. Brot him to east coast for a walk so that he will be contented to take his morning nap. Turns out he still refused to sleep after the walk n his regular dose of milk. It was time for his lunch, n just when I fed him a few spoonfuls of porridge, he ko in his chair. After continuous playing for 7hrs, he is finally asleep. He prob will take a long nap juz like yesterday...:) so adorable...See all his cute sleeping positions...:)

New habits

Kai Kai now has a few new habits. He likes to poke his finger into his own nostril and we have no idea where he picked it up from. Previously, he just enjoyed poking his fingers into our nostrils, but now he has found his own nostril. He will also kiss and sayang my tummy. I'm sure he will love his sister a lot when she arrives. :)

Not sure whether it's coincidence or the result of my flash cards, but few days ago, I asked him to point out cherries and rabbit to me from a picture, he was able to do so. He seems to be able to distinguish some shapes and colors as well.

He just started walking a month plus ago and in that week, he was progressing very well every day. From staggering few steps a first day, he was able to walk from one room to the other within a few days. And he can walk so well now...:) So proud of him!

Durian tasting

Bought durian and let Kai Kai tried for the first time... He seems to enjoy it. Shall train him to be a durian lover like us. :)

Kai Kai can climb stairs!!

Was at Nance's place for a birthday celebration. There was a small flight of stairs and Kai Kai was happily climbing it. Did not realize he can actually climb stairs already! His first attempt and he is doing really well!!

I survived 3 weeks without hubby!

On the exact day that JQ left, Kai Kai came down with fever. He must have gotten the virus from his cousin Enya when we visited on Sun. Anyway, it was a real test of faith. Chong Beng knew about Kai's fever and knowing JQ is not in town, called me to find out how I am. Lucky I have a support group of non-believers of doctors and medicine. Anyway, I was getting advice on how to bring the fever down, and he was telling me his children went as high as 40 degrees before.

For 2 weeks, his fever was like a roller coaster ride going up and down. I gave him a lot of IF and MMA, sponge bathed him a lot, and I was still holding on to my faith and beliefs. I visited the Chinese TCM as well. However, when it went up to 41 degrees, I decided to see a PD just in case. Turns out paracetamol still did not work as his fever still came and went. in the end, he still recovered on his own. My strong boy!! But he lost a lot of weight during this period. I lost weight too. The few days when he was really sick, he was really groaning a lot, hear already heart damn pain. Can tell he is really uncomfortable. After the first week, he was regaining his cheerful self. Even though he is having fever, he was still playing very hard as well, and laughing a lot too...

I will take extra care in future... it's not funny for BB to be falling sick... will take all precautions in future. And for these 3 weeks, I'm really grateful that my Dad and Mum was around to lend a helping hand. Don't know if I could have coped if not for them!! And I am really glad when hubby is back home!

Kai Kai is going to be Gor Gor

Kai Kai is going to be a gor gor end of the year!! Not sure of EDD yet, but based on my calculation, since I prob know the exact date of conceiving, he/she is going to be a near Xmas baby! Hehe, a tiger cub... now prob about 6 weeks. Anyway will only be visiting Dr Paul Tseng 3 weeks later, when JQ is back from Taiwan for his reservist. Sigh, wonder why all his long reservists always comes about when I am pregnant. :( Army has something against me I think... :(

Doc Koh to be??

Ah Yee is "complaining" happily that Kai Kai is causing her trauma and that he has been strangling her. According to my sis, tn the mornings, this is how Kai Kai will wake her up.

Ah Yee: I need compensation for trauma suffered. He has been trying to strangle me.
Me: Ha ha, so cute. For this trauma, he nees to be the one undoing it. Will get him to kiss you ok? He woke you up by sayanging you?
Ah Yee: Huh? he woke me up by making many noises, then pull my phiten on neck and trying to pull me down the bed like that not consider sayang hor. And ya I thought he going to compensate by kissing but he attempted to eat my fringe instead but found it to be quite tasteless.
Me: Haha, so cute, he kissing your forehead lah...
Ay Yee: Alamak u everything also cute I faint!

Me: Maybe he is going to be a doctor… :D
Ah Yee: Ya lah, tell me how to sleep like that? Doctor ? u like that also can?? But may be hor, Dr Koh… hehe

Dozing off at breakfast!!

Was feeding Kai Kai his breakfast and caught him dozing off! Lucky my sister was around to take this footage of a lifetime! He looks so cute!! :)
